what is going on with my sound? i can't hear anything when i play my youtube videos or other games, but i can still hear my ringer for phone calls.

i've compiled some bits of wisdom that i have encountered over the years. several clever & concise turns of phrase that i want to remember, and would like to keep near and also available for others.
i've been finding out that a few of you have been using these guys to try to fix your iphones. aaand how do i know this? because you call me to fix it after he's "fixed it".
here lately, i've been fixing quite a few phones that have been fixed by somebody else - recently "fixed". and it's because some other guy is taking shortcuts and making decisions to try a different approach than what apple has paid millions in r&d and decided what actually should be in that phone.
a really awesome job of soldering and re-routing of the motherboard on a microscopic level. to really understand the small size, i really wish i had taken the photo with something to scale, but i would say the solder bridges you see were each the size of a grain of salt!
